Longtime Roundtable attendee Tina Dorner with CHS, Inc. may persuade you with her answers to these questions regarding the 2017 Roundtable:
What keeps you returning to the Roundtable each year?
Each year the roundtable topics are current and relevant to the agriculture industry. It’s an opportunity for me to learn from the presenters and to network with other HR and educational professionals in agriculture.
What would you tell someone attending the Roundtable for the first time?
Ask questions, step out of our comfort zone, meet new people and have fun! I am proud to call many of the attendees I see each year friends.
Is there an especially memorable session from a previous Roundtable you’ve attended?
A few years ago there was a general session where a company shared how they engaged their interns by having a video contest. I contacted the presenter when the conference was over and after a couple lengthy conference calls, CHS launched our intern video contest and have had it in place for four years! I was amazed how generous the presenter was with her time and her willingness to share her knowledge with me.
What is something that you hope to get out of the 2017 Roundtable in Kansas City?
An opportunity to broaden my personal and professional network and to bring one idea or learning back to my team to create conversation and action!
Which session of the 2017 Roundtable are you most looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to session around bringing innovation into the workplace and I always enjoy the table topics to share ideas!
