Ask Yourself: What are my strengths? What do I bring to the table? (If you haven’t taken a personality assessment like StrengthsFinder, Myers Briggs, DISC, etc., the time is now.)
Ask the Interviewer: What are three things you typically look for in a candidate for this role?
Ask Yourself: What does success look like for me? I would feel like a success at work when _______________.
Ask the Interviewer: What do you think makes a person successful at your company?
Ask Yourself: What type of company culture do I thrive in?
Ask the Interviewer: Why did you choose to work for this company? How would you describe the culture here?
Ask Yourself: Where do I want to be in two years? Ten?
Ask the Interviewer: What kind of professional growth opportunities are available here? How long was the previous person in this role?
Ask Yourself: How do I prefer to be managed?
Ask the Interviewer: Who will evaluate my performance and how will I be measured? How often will I receive feedback?
Asking the interviewer the right questions not only helps you determine if you’re going to be happy there, but it also serves to give the interviewer insight as well. At the end of the day, no one wins if you aren’t the right fit.
